ROSEVILLE - Roseville-based Solar Power, Inc. beat out its competitors to win the construction bid for one of the nation's largest rooftop solar systems. The company will build a five megawatt system for White Rose’s distribution warehouse in New Jersey.  White Rose is one of the nation's largest independent wholesale food distributors. The project is scheduled to be completed by the first half of 2011. 

In a press announcement released by the company, Solar Power’s Chairman and SEO, Steve Kircher states “This is a significant project.  The White Rose installation will be one of the largest systems of its type in the nation…It also provides our Company the opportunity to showcase the unique talents and abilities we offer - it’s a perfect fit for our products and our system design and construction expertise.”  

Solar Power's contracts include the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, Aerojet's Folsom campus, the Placer County Juvenile Detention Facility in Auburn, Raley’s Supermarket in Lincoln and more.
