$10,000 reward offered for stolen church equipment

Between 8/31/14 and 9/7/14, thieves burglarized a steel storage container located on the campus of Folsom Middle School.  The thieves stole numerous items of audio and visual equipment, including projectors, speakers, amplifiers, screens and lighting which belonged to a local church.  Philadelphia Insurance and InterWest Insurance Services, Inc. have offered a ten thousand dollar reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the thieves, and the recovery of the stolen items.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call Folsom Police Detective Tim Galovich at (916) 355-7241.

Dinner Fundraiser to Support Feed My Starving Children

Dinner Fundraiser to Support Feed My Starving Children

A local effort to pack hundreds of thousands of meals for malnourished children around the world is holding its annual major fundraiser to help pay for the meals that will be packed.

The special dinner, to be held Sept. 12 with catering donated by Randy Peters Catering and Event Planning, will benefit the 5th Annual Feed My Starving Children MobilePack.

All of the proceeds of the fundraiser will help pay for the meals to be packed during the non-profit Feed My Starving Children MobilePack event, scheduled for Oct. 23 to 25 at William Jessup University. In the first four years, the MobilePacks have packed more than 1.8 million meals.

Randy and Lisa Peters, owners of Randy Peters Catering & Event Planning, are donating all the food and their service for the event – meaning every dollar raised will go toward paying for meals for the MobilePack.
