How to Landscape Day - June 23

It's that time again! The popular annual event presented by San Juan Water District and the City of Folsom is back and better than ever.

Attendees will be treated to the latest information in water efficient and environmentally friendly landscape design from some of the region’s top landscape experts. Speakers from local garden supply stores, nurseries and University of California Integrated Pest Management program will lend their expertise in water saving plants, pest control and organic growing. Cheryl Buckwater, an expert in eco-friendly landscape design, will share her tips for creating and maintaining a water smart garden at 12:30 p.m.

Outdoor irrigation accounts for almost half of residential water use, reaching as high as 70 percent in the summer. With this year’s reduced snowpack and Folsom Lake water level projections, we all need to cut back on water use. Reduced water use can help slash water bills, too. At How to Landscape Day, learn how to design and maintain attractive water efficient landscapes from professional designers, eco-friendly organizations, nurseries and water agencies. Exhibitors will showcase new landscaping products, services and techniques and hands-on demonstrations.

Don’t miss this free event! Download the event flyer at sjwd.org. Call 791-2663 for more information. How to Landscape Day takes place at the San Juan Water District office at 9935 Auburn Folsom Road in Granite Bay.
