Orangevale at-risk missing man found OK

ORANGEVALE - Authorities safely located 80-year-old Krijn "Mac" Macleane Wednesday afternoon, after he was last seen in the Orangevale area that morning.

Macleane was located around 4 p.m. and safely reunited with his family, according to Sacramento County Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Tim Curran.

Macleane, who suffers from advanced Alzheimer's disease, was reported missing after he was last seen around 10 a.m. retrieving garbage cans in front of his home on Mirwood Court in Orangevale, Curran said.

Macleane is reportedly new to the area and might have tried to return to his previous address near Auburn Boulevard and Van Maren Way, said Curran.

Orangevale dad wins over half a million dollars

Orangevale resident, David Williams Jr., had to think long and hard about the last time he won a big prize playing the California Lottery. After giving it some thought, he recalled twice winning $5,000 back in the early 90’s. It’s going to be a bit more difficult to forget about the prize he won last Friday night.

Williams matched five of six numbers in Friday night’s MEGA Millions® draw to win $581,319. His lucky ticket matched the numbers 38, 4, 27, 29, and 45, missing only the Mega number of 5.

When asked what he planned to do with his winnings, Williams wasn’t quite sure yet, but the father of two teenagers said that his son has already requested a new car.

The winning ticket was purchased at Greenback Shell, which is located at 9301 Greenback Lane in Orangevale. No ticket matched all six numbers, so Friday night’s jackpot will be worth $51 million.

MEGA Millions is a multistate game, played in California and 41 other states.
